Remember...superb aluminium bodywork...with 120 louvres,... not just fibreglass!

Aero Merlin Rolling chassis kits.

If you already have a Moto Guzzi donor bike, why not purchase a fully plumbed (brake lines and wiring loom fitted) rolling chassis!? This enables you to roll the chassis around and outside your garage/workshop.

You will receive the following, all fully fitted:
1) Epoxy powder coated chassis (beetle or barrelback) fitted with all bonded/riveted/bolted aluminium panels The main side panels will be fitted by cleko pins enabling you to remove/re-fit for additional build access. You will need to bond and rivet these side panels on eventually yourself.
2) All grp panels fitted (easily removable).
3) Bonnet panels with a total of 96 louvres, pre-formed and fitted, complete with full length stainless steel hinge.
4) All stainless steel brake lines fully fitted, including pedal box.
5) Wiring loom fitted to chassis. (Loom will be left over length enabling you to connect to switches/lights etc)
6) Light weight alloy suspension units, alloy calipers, 19 inch alloy wheels and Avon tyres, mudguard stays, all fitted.
7) Stainless steel mudguards.
8) Steering column, steering rack, steering wheel and boss all fully fitted.

Price: 8995
Other items to finish the vehicle can be purchased from our options list (prices and specifications) or sourced elsewhere by you.

Please note, the above price is for a RHD (Right Hand Drive) vehicle. For LHD (Left Hand Drive) vehicle there is an additional charge of  350.

There are no seats included in the rolling chassis option, so you might like to order these at the same time. Only bucket seats are supplied as standard and the price for these including the hinged plinths on which they sit, is 695 a pair.

Rolling chassis option specification:

The chassis supplied is our standard beetleback or barrelback chassis, epoxy powder coated in black. All riv-nuts will be inserted.

The aluminium top deck panels are removable enabling access.

Aluminium trim pieces are removable.

The grp scuttle and nose cone will be fitted, these are easily removable for preparation and painting.

The electrics box with hinged lid will be fitted.

All stainless steel brake lines will be connected, held in place by P clips bolted into riv-nuts. Brake lines will be connected to the brake master cylinder, front alloy calipers, and down to a rear bulkhead connector.

A wiring loom will be fitted, held by P clips bolted into riv-nuts. The wiring loom will commence from the wiring box from a 4 relay box. The loom will be P clip held along the back of an Aero circle polished aluminium dashboard. The dashboard bolts directly to the Aero scuttle via riv-nuts.

The pedal box will be bolted down to the chassis. It can be multi positioned via pre inserted 8mm riv-nuts.

Steering wheel, steering wheel boss, upper and lower collapsible steering column (complete with steering lock), steering rack, and alloy steering rack brackets will be bolted to the chassis.

Alloy uprights, alloy brake caliper brackets, alloy brake calipers, alloy mudguard stays, will all be bolted to the wishbones/chassis. The top wishbones are adjustable for both castor and camber (camber changes are easily made without disconnecting the top ball joint).

19 inch spoked alloy Akront/Morad wheels are fitted , shod with 4.00 x 19 Avon SM11 tyres.

Stainless steel mudguards are supplied together with mudguard stays.

All removable tunnel covers fitted via riv-nuts to the chassis.

Alloy rear upper bulkhead with hinged access doors is fitted to the chassis.

The main aluminium side panels can be either bonded/riveted on by us (you must specify this and there is an additional charge) or they will be fitted on with temporary cleko pins, enabling you to remove them, giving you access whilst you continue the build process.

If you already have your donor Moto Guzzi bike, you could have the swing arm cleaned up/powdercoated, and get the whole assembly (arm/final drive/disc/caliper/spindle/swing arm bolts etc) to our workshop and it could all be fitted up during the assembly of your rolling chassis. Please note: we will need older style swing arm bolts/pins, 20mm x 1mm and not the later 25mm x 1mm. There is an extra charge for this. You will also need to supply rear shock absorbers, or ask to have them supplied at cost.

Regarding  Donor bikes you can use any bike/swing arm from the 850T series upwards, to the 2003/2004-2010 California Titanium type bike. The later single sided swing arm and derivatives are inappropriate.

A rolling chassis can only be supplied "rolling" (on wheels) ex works directly to your collection vehicle, or delivered directly to you by arrangement and delivery charge, within the UK. See the shipping page for overseas delivery arrangements.
