MOTO GUZZI ENGINES These photos show the standard that can be achieved by cleaning and re-building a Moto Guzzi 948cc engine. The crankcases have been totally blast cleaned. In order to do this the whole engine was dismantled and rebuilt, carefully checking and replacing parts as required. As a matter of course, piston rings and all bearings are replaced. The clutch is replaced. This work is done entirely by our Italian Moto Guzzi specialist, Motori di Marino, the work supervised by Pietro Marino himself. Whatever you want, Pietro can build it! The alternator cover is polished. Polished rocker covers and timing chest covers are also available, and our next engine will feature these. An engine, gearbox, swing arm and rear drive unit, all re-built in this condition will cost £2500. Big valve higher compression "Le Mans" engines are extra, extra power equals extra cost! There is no substitute for a known rebuilt engine, and one cleaned and presented in such a lavish condition. The finish is not paint at this stage, this is clean blast treated aluminium. The carbs and manifolds are polished as well!
